We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Drama Teacher to join our vibrant arts department.

About the Role:
As a Drama Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality lessons to students at all levels, from Key Stage 3 through to A-Level. You will have the opportunity to inspire and nurture the creative talents of our students, encouraging self-expression and collaboration. The successful candidate will be passionate about drama education, have excellent communication skills, and bring a fresh and innovative approach to the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Drama lessons across all key stages.
  • Create a dynamic and inspiring learning environment for students to explore drama, theatre, and performance techniques.
  • Organise and supervise extracurricular drama activities, including school productions and drama clubs.
  • Support students in their academic development, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and departments to enhance the overall school curriculum.
  • Contribute to the development of the Drama department’s curriculum and resources.

Key Requirements:

  • A qualified Drama teacher (PGCE or equivalent) with experience teaching Drama at secondary level.
  • A passion for the subject and a commitment to inspiring students to achieve their potential.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to adapt teaching methods to suit diverse learning needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students, parents, and staff.
  • Experience with organising school productions or extracurricular drama activities is desirable.
